Chosen Family is seeking a compassionate female Support Worker aged 30 or older to assist a 24-year-old woman in Faulconbridge, NSW. The role emphasizes person-centred mental health support to promote independence, emotional wellbeing, social connection, and participation in meaningful daily activities.

This part-time temporary position includes completing daily living tasks, transportation support, and facilitating community access.

Qualifications

• Female Support Worker aged 30 or older.
• Professional mental health support experience or relevant training is essential.
• Experience supporting people with psychosocial disabilities or complex mental health needs is highly desirable.

Responsabilités

• Monday – Daily Living & Household Support (10:00 AM-1:00 PM): Assist with household tasks and maintaining a comfortable living environment; support errands and everyday activities; encourage independence with daily routines and practical life skills; provide patient, respectful psychosocial support.
• Wednesday – Community Access & Social Participation (1:30 PM-4:30 PM): Provide safe transportation to and from singing lessons; support community access and participation in meaningful activities; encourage social interaction, confidence, and independence; foster a supportive environment respecting preferences, goals and pace.
