Astute Living Care is seeking a dedicated Mental Health Support Worker to join our team across Greater Sydney. You will provide emotional and practical support to clients with psychosocial disabilities, assist with daily living activities, and help with community participation.

Ideal candidates have lived experience, are enrolled in psychology or social work, hold required checks (NDIS, WWCC, First Aid/CPR), a valid Australian driver's license, and flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Lived experience valued and encouraged to apply.
• Diploma in Mental Health or higher preferred.
• Flexible with varied hours including shorter shifts.
• Valid NDIS Worker Check, WWCC and First Aid/CPR required.
• Mental Health First Aid Certificate (optional).
• Valid Australian driver’s licence and access to reliable transport.
• Must have valid Australian work rights for this position.

Responsabilités

• Provide emotional and practical support to clients with psychosocial disabilities.
• Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care and meal preparation.
• Assist with community participation and appointment support.
• Implement individual support plans in consultation with participants and their families/care team.
• Maintain accurate records of client progress and provide reports as required.
• Work collaboratively with treating doctors, psychologists, and social workers.
• Participate in ongoing training and development activities to enhance skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide emotional and practical support to clients with psychosocial disabilities
• Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks
• Assist with community participation and appointment support
• Implement individual support plans in consultation with participants and their families/care team
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client progress and provide reports as required
• Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including treating doctors, psychologists, and social workers
• Participate in ongoing training and development activities to enhance skills and knowledge
