Job summary

Join Cumberland Hospital in North Parramatta as a Security Officer with Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD). You will help protect patients, staff and visitors, monitor security systems and respond to safety incidents in a busy mental health environment.

This temporary and permanent role offers up to 38 hours per week, with potential overtime and penalty rates. You must hold a Class 1A Security Licence, a Certificate II in Security Guarding and a current First Aid Certificate.

Qualifications

• Licence: Class 1A Licence under the Security Industry Act 1997.
• Certificate II in Security Guarding and current First Aid Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate security systems including CCTV, duress alarms and access control.
• Identify risks, undertake risk assessments and take timely action to maintain safety.
• Respond to incidents including fire, duress, helipad retrieval and advanced life support situations.
• Collaborate with clinicians, police, fire services and other stakeholders.
• Provide professional customer service and accurately document incidents.
