Job summary

Sydney Local Health District is seeking a Permanent Full Time Security Officer to safeguard staff, patients and visitors at Concord Repatriation General Hospital. The role includes patrols, incident response and operation of alarm/CCTV/access control systems.

The ideal candidate will hold a Security Licence, First Aid certificate and a NSW driver’s licence, with the ability to work a 12-hour rotating roster.

Qualifications

• Licensed under the Security Industry Act 1997 – Class 1 A and current Senior First Aid Certificate.
• Customer service skills with high personal integrity and motivation.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and complete patrols and security duties.
• Experience with alarm systems, access control, CCTV and Fire Indication Panels (FIP).
• Experience handling challenging and aggressive situations with empathy and resilience.
• Able to perform 12 hour shifts on a 24/7 rotating roster.
• Current NSW Driver's Licence (P1 and P2 acceptable).

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and security of staff, patients, visitors and property on hospital campus.
• Provide security support to Concord Repatriation General Hospital and Mental Health Service.
• Respond to security incidents with professionalism and empathy.
• Operate and monitor alarm, CCTV, and access control systems.
