Job summary

NSW Health at Westmead seeks a permanent full-time Security Officer to safeguard staff, patients and assets across hospital premises. You will maintain order, respond to requests for assistance, and uphold NSW Health CORE values in a collaborative team environment.

Applicants should hold a NSW Security Licence Class 1A and a current NSW Driver’s Licence, with strong communication, documentation, and familiarity with CCTV/alarm systems. 38 hours/week. Applications close 25 October 2026.

Qualifications

• Current NSW Security Licence Class 1A.
• Current NSW Driver's Licence.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer literacy and ability to document accurately.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and security of staff, patients, visitors and assets.
• Respond to requests for assistance from staff, visitors and patients.
