Job summary

McCrae Yacht Club is seeking a proactive Membership & Development Coordinator to support growth, enhance member experience and strengthen community ties in McCrae, VIC. The role spans membership, sponsorship, clubhouse hire, communications and grants, working closely with the Commodore and volunteers.

This part-time position offers flexible hours (16 hours weekly plus 4 on Saturday mornings during sailing season) with potential additional weekend/seasonal hours.

Qualifications

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to balance priorities and work independently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for diverse stakeholders.
• Experience in sponsorship, sales, partnerships, fundraising or business development and pursuing opportunities.
• Strong proposal-writing skills for sponsorship, partnership, funding or grant proposals.
• Experience with a CRM, membership database or online platforms, digital communications, website content and social media; willingness to learn Club Sailing Manager and other club systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate membership enquiries, onboarding, renewals and fee collection; manage communications and records.
• Identify and engage local sponsors and community partners; prepare sponsorship proposals and manage benefits.
• Administer clubhouse hire enquiries, bookings, pricing and scheduling; deliver functions on site.
• Maintain the club's online channels and promote programs, events and achievements; build community relationships and identify grant opportunities.
