Specialist Medical Services Group runs three general practices in Inner West & St George/Sutherland Sydney. The Patient Support Officer role greets patients, checks them in, and coordinates bookings and payments across multiple centres, with training provided.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience.
• Clear, calm communication on the phone and at the desk.

Responsabilités

• Greet patients, check them in and keep the waiting room moving.
• Answer the phones and book appointments in Best Practice, matching each patient to the right practitioner.
• Process bulk-billed, Medicare and private payments, and issue receipts.
• Recognise the patient who can't wait and get them to a nurse straight away.
• Handle calls and correspondence from hospitals, pathology, pharmacies and referring doctors.
• Scan and file results and letters, and keep patient records accurate and up to date.
• Open and close the centre, restock supplies, and keep reception and the waiting room clean and welcoming.
