Job summary

Gastrointestinal Specialists Brisbane on Brisbane's Northside is seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist to join a fast-paced, modern computer-based practice. The role requires excellent organisational and interpersonal skills to manage patient care in a small but busy setting.

You will handle high-volume calls, bookings, billing and scheduling, and will coordinate with hospitals, doctors and referring practitioners.

Qualifications

• Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills essential for managing patient care in a small busy practice.
• Ability to learn new tasks and processes, multitask, and work autonomously when required.
• Experience handling high volume calls and scheduling in a medical reception setting.

Responsibilities

• Answer high volume incoming calls and assist with enquiries.
• Manage patient bookings, appointments, billing, and receipting.
• Schedule procedural lists and liaise with hospitals, specialists and referrers.
• Maintain patient records and incoming/outgoing correspondence to other practitioners.
• Communicate timely and accurately with Practice doctors.
