Job summary

Western Sydney Gastro is seeking two experienced Medical Receptionists to join our busy gastroenterology practice in New South Wales.Roles available include full-time (5 days) and part-time/casual (about 2.5 days, 20+ hours, one Saturday monthly). Minimum one year of medical reception experience is essential; students are not considered.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of medical reception experience in a medical practice.
• Strong computer skills including Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and provide friendly, professional service.
• Answer calls, manage enquiries and schedule appointments.
• Maintain patient records and electronic correspondence.
• Process patient billing and payments.
• Coordinate theatre lists, procedure bookings and hospital admissions.
• Perform daily financial reconciliations.
• Liaise with hospitals, GPs and other healthcare providers.
• Provide administrative support to doctors and Practice Manager.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and accurate documentation.
