Job summary

Randstad on the Gold Coast is seeking a Medical Receptionist for an ASAP start in a busy clinic. The role is casual, 4 days per week (Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri) with hours 7:30am to 5:30pm, and there is potential to transition to a permanent position for the right candidate.

The successful applicant will be the first point of contact, supporting clinical staff and delivering a welcoming, professional experience to patients in a local community practice.

Qualifications

• Significant experience within a General Practice or a similar clinical setting.
• Experience with practice management software is advantageous.

• Facilitating patient arrivals and managing the daily clinic flow.
• Coordinating appointment scheduling and managing phone enquiries.
• Providing administrative support to the General Practitioners and nursing team.
• Processing Medicare, DVA, and private health fund billing with a high degree of accuracy.
• Maintaining electronic patient records (experience with Best Practice software is highly regarded).

This is an ongoing casual role working 4 days per week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday), requiring availability to work within practice hours of 7:30am to 5:30pm. This position has the opportunity to transition into a permanent role for the right candidate.

About the role

• A natural ability to connect with people and provide empathetic support, especially during stressful or sensitive times.
• Confidence in managing medical billing and using practice management software.
