Job summary

Lumus Imaging is seeking a casual Medical Receptionist to join our teams at Nundah and Sandgate. You will be the friendly first point of contact, greeting patients, handling bookings, and supporting administrative tasks in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

The role requires excellent communication, organisation, and attention to detail, with a patient-focused approach and ability to work well in a team. Weekend hours apply at Nundah location.

• Previous reception, administration, or customer service experience, ideally within a healthcare environment.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• High attention to detail and accurate data entry skills.

• The ability to work effectively in a busy team environment.

• Deliver exceptional customer service by welcoming patients and managing front desk enquiries.
• Coordinate and manage medical imaging bookings for inpatient and outpatient appointments.
• Answer and direct incoming calls professionally and efficiently.
• Perform general administrative and clerical duties.
• Maintain accurate patient records and data entry with a high level of attention to detail.
• Liaise effectively with patients, medical professionals, referring practitioners, and internal teams.

We are currently seeking a casual Medical Receptionist to work across our Nundah and Sandgate sites. Both sites are open from 8:00am to 4:30pm, with Nundah also open on Saturdays from 8:00am to 12:00pm. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service by welcoming patients and managing front desk enquiries.
• Coordinate and manage medical imaging bookings for inpatient and outpatient appointments.
• Answer and direct incoming calls professionally and efficiently.
• Perform general administrative and clerical duties.
• Maintain accurate patient records and data entry with a high level of attention to detail.
• Liaise effectively with patients, medical professionals, referring practitioners, and internal teams.
• Process billing and banking tasks, including Medicare, DVA, health funds, and WorkCover transactions.
