Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients warmly and professionally.

• Liaise with Radiologists, Sonographers, Mammographers and the clinical team.
• Process payments and Medicare/private health claims.
• Maintain accurate patient records and confidentiality.
• Support day-to-day operation of the practice.

Imaging Queensland (IQ) is part of Integral Diagnostics (IDX Group), one of Australia and New Zealand's largest diagnostic imaging providers. We are committed to delivering high-quality medical imaging services and exceptional patient care across our growing network of practices throughout Queensland.

Located in the heart of Brisbane CBD, our clinic offer a comprehensive range of diagnostic imaging services, including X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound, mammography, nuclear medicine and bone mineral densitometry (BMD), supported by experienced Radiologists, skilled imaging professionals and dedicated administration teams.

About the Role

We are looking for a friendly, organised and patient-focused Medical Receptionist to join our team on a full-time basis with the option to work a 9 day fortnight on a 12mth contract.

As a Medical Receptionist, you will be an important part of the patient journey, providing a warm and professional experience from the moment patients arrive.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Welcoming and assisting patients in a professional and compassionate manner
• Managing patient bookings, appointments and enquiries
• Answering incoming calls and responding to patient queries
• Processing referrals and patient information
• Liaising with Radiologists, Sonographers, Mammographers and other members of the clinical team
• Processing payments and Medicare/private health claims
• Maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring confidentiality
• Supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the practice

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Has previous medical reception or healthcare administration experience
• Has excellent customer service and communication skills
• Is confident managing a busy reception and telephone environment
• Has strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Is professional, approachable and empathetic
• Can work effectively as part of a close-knit team
• Understands the importance of privacy, confidentiality and patient care

Experience in radiology or specialist medical practices will be highly regarded, but is not essential.
