Job summary

Ace Talent Recruitment is seeking a motivated intern in Melbourne to assist in designing and developing mechatronics systems, conduct prototype testing, and collaborate with engineers to integrate mechanical and electronic components. You will use MATLAB, SolidWorks, and CAD tools to document designs and test performance.

Ideal candidates are pursuing Mechatronics or Mechanical Engineering, with knowledge of control systems, robotics, and programming (C/C++, Python).

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical design and electrical systems.
• Experience with MATLAB, SolidWorks, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing and developing mechatronics systems.
• Conduct research and testing of prototypes.
• Collaborate with engineers to integrate mechanical and electronic components.
• Utilize CAD software for design work and documentation.
• Develop and execute test plans to evaluate system performance.
• Analyze data from tests and simulations to support design improvements.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss project progress.
• Prepare reports and presentations for project updates.
• Support troubleshooting efforts for technical issues.
• Document project changes and maintain records appropriately.
• Assist in the assembly of systems and sub-systems.
• Work on optimizing system functionality through iterative testing.
• Apply principles of thermodynamics and fluid mechanics in projects.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.
