Job summary

CSG Talent is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join an Australian-owned team in Western Sydney. You will design bespoke machinery and automation concepts, taking projects from initial idea through manufacture and testing to delivery.

You'll collaborate with manufacturing, automation, electrical and supplier partners, using SolidWorks to develop solutions and work on multi-project life cycles on the factory floor.

Qualifications

• Qualified Mechanical Engineer or Mechatronics Engineer.
• Experience with special purpose machinery, automation or packaging equipment.
• Experience with PDM Vault would be advantageous.
• Understanding of pneumatic and motion control systems.
• Experience working with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong time management and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Mechanical Design Engineer | Special Purpose Machinery

• Location: Western Sydney
• Office / Factory Based

An opportunity has opened for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join an established Australian-owned engineering business specialising in bespoke machinery and automation solutions.

This is not an off-the-shelf engineering environment. Projects are customised around individual customer requirements, giving you the opportunity to solve technical challenges and take designs from initial concept through to manufacture, testing and delivery.

With a strong pipeline of upcoming projects, the business is looking for someone who enjoys being hands-on, working collaboratively and seeing their designs come to life on the factory floor.

The Role

Reporting directly to the General Manager, you'll work as part of an experienced engineering team and collaborate closely with manufacturing, assembly, electrical, suppliers and customers.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing customised mechanical concepts and solutions
• Taking projects from concept and detailed design through manufacture, testing and delivery
• Producing mechanical designs using SolidWorks
