Banana Shire Council in Brisbane seeks a capable leader to supervise the mechanical workshop and coordinate the work of workshop staff and contractors. You will oversee maintenance and repairs on plant and fleet, provide technical leadership, and ensure high safety and customer service standards while managing inspections and parts liaison. This role requires a Certificate III in Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Technology, a Construction White Card, and a current C Class licence.

• Experience supervising mechanical staff and workshops.
• Ability to diagnose issues with plant and fleet vehicles.
• Strong focus on safety, WHS and regulatory compliance.
• Customer service oriented with stakeholders.

Mansioni

• Lead and supervise workshop staff and contractors.
• Coordinate tasks and workflows; review performance monthly.
• Undertake maintenance and repairs on plant and equipment.
• Provide technical advice to Technicians and staff.
• Oversee vehicle COI inspections across the fleet.
• Liaise with parts to order needed components.
• Conduct safety audits and promote safety culture.
• Participate in training and disaster response as required.
