Job summary

Hawkesbury City Council is seeking a Plant Superintendent to lead the mechanical workshop, coordinate repairs and supervise the team. The role requires motor mechanic qualifications and extensive repair experience across trucks, cars, and construction plant.

Qualifications

• Must hold Motor Mechanic or Plant Mechanic qualification.
• Must hold Motor Vehicle Repair Industry Council Trade Certificate.
• Must hold Vehicle Registration Certificate.
• Extensive experience with truck and car repairs and maintenance.
• Extensive experience with construction plant repair and maintenance.
• Experience writing reports.
• Experience supervising staff.
• Class C Drivers Licence.
• WHS General Construction Work in NSW.
• Working with Children Check (WWCC).
• Background checks and medical declaration as part of appointment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operation of the mechanical workshop.
• Coordinate and supervise the workshop team.
• Ensure servicing and repairs are completed efficiently and safely.
• Maintain compliance with WHS and council requirements.
