Job summary

Hawkesbury City Council is seeking a Plant Superintendent to lead the mechanical workshop, oversee servicing and repairs, and coordinate a skilled team. The role requires a motor or plant mechanic background and extensive fleet repair experience in trucks, cars, and construction plant.

You will supervise staff, manage day-to-day workshop operations, and ensure safety and compliance. This role is based on-site in NSW with an emphasis on reliable service delivery and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Motor Mechanic or Plant Mechanic Qualification.
• Motor Vehicle Repair Industry Council Trade Certificate.
• Vehicle Registration Certificate.
• Extensive experience with truck and car repairs and maintenance.
• Extensive experience with construction plant repair and maintenance.
• Experience writing reports.
• Physically fit to undertake the requirements of the position.
• Experience supervising staff.
• The right to live and work in Australia.
• Class C Drivers Licence.
• WHS General Construction Work in NSW.
• Working with Children Check (WWCC).
• Background checks and medical declaration may be required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient day-to-day operation of the mechanical workshop servicing and repairs.
• Coordinate and supervise the workshop team.
• Maintain and repair fleet equipment in a timely manner.
