Job summary

Wilmar Sugar & Renewables is seeking a Mechanical Tradesperson (Fitter & Turner) for our Proserpine Mill in the Whitsundays region. This permanent, full-time day role offers hands-on maintenance work on pumps, gearboxes, hydraulics and rotating machinery within a safety-focused team.

You will maintain, repair and overhaul mill equipment, troubleshoot breakdowns, perform preventative maintenance, assist with fabrication, mentor apprentices and contribute to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Certificate III Engineering (Mechanical Trade) or equivalent.
• Trade qualification as Mechanical Fitter / Fitter & Turner.
• Current manual driver's licence.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to safety and teamwork.
• Confined Space, Working at Heights and additional trade tickets are highly regarded.

Responsibilities
