Job summary

Harberger is seeking a Mechanical & Structural Design Draftsperson to develop 3D models and detailed drawings for structural steel projects and manufactured equipment. This hands-on role turns concepts into practical, manufacture-ready designs for sheds and related infrastructure.

You will collaborate with sales, estimating, engineering, and manufacturing teams, delivering accurate BOMs, DXF/Laser files and comprehensive fabrication drawings while upholding tight quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical, structural or fabrication design/drafting.
• Strong 3D CAD capability.
• Experience designing and detailing structural steel buildings or sheds.
• Experience designing fabricated mechanical equipment and assemblies.
• Strong understanding of steel fabrication, welding, sheet metal and manufacturing processes.
• Experience producing detailed workshop and fabrication drawings.
• Experience with BOMs, DXF files and manufacturing documentation.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work from a concept or basic scope and develop a complete design.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
