Job summary

Vitex Pharmaceuticals, a leading and well-established family business in the Australian pharmaceutical sector, is seeking an experienced trade-qualified Mechanical Officer to join our team at Eastern Creek. You will troubleshoot, maintain and install mechanical systems, uphold safety and quality standards, and provide cross-functional technical support.

Immediate start in a permanent role with onsite parking and opportunities for training and development.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and fix machinery as required.
• Plan and conduct preventative maintenance.
• Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems and equipment, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
• Provide technical support and training to ensure proper operation and maintenance of mechanical systems.
• Understand and act in compliance with Vitex policies and procedures.

Requirements

Your Responsibilities will include:

• Troubleshoot and fix machinery as required
• Plan and conduct preventative maintenance
• Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems and equipment, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards
• Provide technical support and training to ensure proper operation and maintenance of mechanical systems
• Understand and act in compliance with Vitex policies and procedures.

Skills and Experience:

• Tertiary education in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Previous experience in a manufacturing facility (preferred not essential)
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and disciplines
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards applicable to mechanical engineering.
