Job summary

Vitex Pharmaceuticals is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer for our Eastern Creek facility in NSW. The role focuses on maintenance of machinery, equipment and processes to minimise downtime and ensure product quality.

The ideal candidate has strong electrical system knowledge, PLC familiarity and a proven maintenance background within manufacturing or industrial settings. Onsite parking is available; there is potential for overtime as required.

Qualifications

• Electrical engineer with maintenance-focused experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Familiar with networking and PLC programming basics (Siemens, Mitsubishi, Omron).
• Strong troubleshooting abilities and attention to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections of machinery, equipment and facilities to identify maintenance needs.
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks according to schedules to ensure optimal performance.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and resolve issues to minimise downtime and production delays.
• Troubleshoot electrical problems and perform repairs as necessary.
• Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and machinery.

Requirements

Your Responsibilities will include:

• Strong technical skills of electrical systems
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Availability for occasional overtime as needed.
