Workfast is seeking Mechanical Fitters / Boilermakers in a leading hand role to join a Waste Management & Recycling Facility in New Chum, QLD. You will work on fixed plant equipment, performing preventative and breakdown maintenance, with opportunities to improve plant performance.

The role offers an afternoon shift from 2:30pm to 11:00pm, penalties with pay, and ongoing project work across Australia. Applicants must have a Boilermaker or Mechanical Fitter trade, a valid Australian driver's

• Trades qualification as Boilermaker or Mechanical Fitter.
• Australian Driver's Licence and full working rights.
• Experience in fixed plant, recycling, manufacturing or heavy industry maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance and repairs on fixed plant equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing of plant and machinery.

Workfast is looking for Mechanical Fitters / Boilermaker in a leading hand role to join a Waste Management & Recycling Facility in New Chum, QLD.

This role will see you working on a range of fixed plant equipment within a waste management and recycling operation, completing preventative maintenance, breakdown repairs, and plant improvements.

We are actively seeking dedicated Mechanical Fitters to join our Waste Management & Recycling Team. You will be part of a motivated crew working in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that operations run smoothly and safely.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out maintenance, repairs, on fixed plant equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing of plant and machinery
• Work on equipment such as conveyors, shredders, screens, pumps, gearboxes, and recycling plant machinery
• Assist with plant upgrades, installations, and shutdown work when required
• Ensure all work is carried out in line with site safety procedures and compliance standards
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times

What You Bring to the Team:

• Australian Driver's Licence and full working rights
• Trade Qualification as a Boilermaker or Mechanical fitter
• Prior experience in a similar fixed plant, recycling, manufacturing, or heavy industry maintenance role
• Full Australian working rights
• Ability to pass pre-employment medical & drug and alcohol test
• A can-do attitude with a willingness to engage in physically demanding tasks when necessary
• Professionalism and a commitment to team collaboration and workplace safety
