Job summary

Workfast is seeking Mechanical Fitters/Boilermaker for a leading hand role at a Waste Management & Recycling Facility in Stapylton, QLD. You will maintain and repair fixed plant equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and support plant upgrades in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a trade qualification as Boilermaker or Mechanical Fitter, Australian working rights, and the ability to pass medical and drug tests. Competitive pay and afternoon shift allowances are offered.

Qualifications

• Australian Driver's Licence and full working rights.
• Trade Qualification as a Boilermaker or Mechanical fitter.
• Prior experience in fixed plant, recycling, manufacturing, or heavy industry maintenance.
• Full Australian working rights.
• Ability to pass pre-employment medical & drug and alcohol test.
• Willingness to perform physically demanding tasks and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance and repairs on fixed plant equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing of plant and machinery.
• Work on conveyors, shredders, screens, pumps, gearboxes and recycling plant machinery.
• Assist with plant upgrades, installations and shutdowns as required.
• Ensure all work complies with site safety procedures and standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
