Job summary

Norm Engineering in Darra, QLD, is seeking a skilled fabricator/weldor to support earthmoving attachments. You will read drawings, select components, and assemble mechanical and hydraulic systems for reliable operation.

You will collaborate with welders, fabricators and engineers to ensure accurate fitment and high-quality output. Applicants should have a Certificate in Engineering and be adept with measuring tools, hand and power tools, and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Certificate I, II or III in Engineering or equivalent.
• Ability to read drawings and meet tolerances.
• Physically fit for manual fabrication work.
• Experience with earthmoving attachments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Examine drawings and orders to determine materials and tools.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specs.
• Assemble and fit mechanical and hydraulic components.
• Inspect assemblies for wear, faults and correct fit.
• Perform testing and calibration per specifications.
• Maintain a clean, safe workshop and follow WHS guidelines.
