Job summary

BA Equipment Group is seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter for our Queensland Service Centre in Acacia Ridge, Brisbane. You will support service on our hydraulic hammers, attachments and rock breaking boom systems.

You will work from drawings, use hand tools and precision instruments, and assist qualified tradespersons to keep jobs on time. National travel and training opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and interest in developing skills on construction and mining sites.
• Holds HRW licenses, work permits and qualifications for on-site work.
• Physically fit to pass a medical and DAS.
• CMR class license and Forklift license are essential.
• Safety-first mindset and teamwork are valued.

Responsibilities

• Ensure workshop equipment, tooling and service vehicles are clean, tidy and correctly located.
• Carry out fitting and assembling parts to produce machinery and hydraulic/mobile equipment from drawings and specs.
• Work from detailed drawings using hand tools, machine tools and precision instruments.
