Job summary

SRG Global are seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters for a long-term FIFO project. The role is a 12-month assignment operating on a 2:2 roster in Western Australia, delivering mechanical works across a major industrial operation.

Trade-qualified fitters with rotating equipment experience in mining, oil & gas, processing or heavy industrial environments are encouraged to apply. A strong safety mindset, ability to interpret drawings, and site procedures are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Trade-qualified fitter with Australian Recognised Trade Certificate.
• Experience on rotating equipment in mining, oil & gas, processing or heavy industrial environments.
• Working at Heights and Confined Spaces tickets completed within 2 years.
• Current Drivers License.
• Supervised Gas Fitter Ticket desirable.
• High Risk qualifications (Forklift, Rigging, Crane, Elevated Work Platform) desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical works on a variety of rotating and fixed plant assets
• Assist with equipment inspections, maintenance activities, and mechanical upgrades
• Work on pumps, motors, gearboxes, conveyors, and associated equipment
• Interpret technical drawings, procedures, and work instructions
• Complete tasks safely and in accordance with site quality requirements
• Liaise with supervisors and site personnel to ensure project objectives are achieved
• Maintain a strong commitment to safety, housekeeping, and continuous improvement

SRG Global are seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters for a long-term FIFO project with an estimated duration of 12 months, working a 2:2 roster.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing team delivering mechanical works across a major industrial operation. We are looking for trade-qualified fitters with experience working on rotating equipment in mining, oil & gas, processing, or heavy industrial environments.

Experience in condition monitoring, equipment inspections, or asset maintenance programs will be highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical works on a variety of rotating and fixed plant assets
• Assist with equipment inspections, maintenance activities, and mechanical upgrades
• Work on pumps, motors, gearboxes, conveyors, and associated equipment

The successful applicant will have:

• Supervised Gas Fitter Ticket (Desirable)
