Job summary

Visy Glass Penrith offers a Mechanical Fitter apprenticeship where you will learn to maintain plants and machinery in a fast-paced FMCG environment. You will be mentored by experienced tradespeople and gain hands-on experience in preventative maintenance, fault finding, and repairs.

This is a 4-year program leading to a qualified Mechanical Fitter, with 9-day fortnights, day shifts, and opportunities for career progression within Visy.

Qualifications

• Completed Year 10 or higher with a good maths grade.
• Genuine interest in mechanical maintenance and manufacturing.
• Mechanical aptitude with a hands-on approach to learning.

Responsibilities

• Learn to maintain all plant equipment and machinery within the site.
• Gain hands-on experience with maintenance tasks and safety procedures.
• Work under the Mechanical Manager to support the maintenance team.
