Job summary

Visy is offering an Electrical Apprenticeship at our Smithfield Beverage Can manufacturing plant. You will learn from experienced tradespeople while developing practical skills in electrical maintenance, fault finding and automated manufacturing systems.

This day-shift role runs from 6:00am to 2:30pm and provides exposure to a fast-paced FMCG environment, with a path to becoming a qualified Electrician through a nationally recognised trade qualification.

Qualifications

• Completed Year 10 or higher.
• Genuine interest in electrical systems, automation and manufacturing.
• Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude with a hands-on learning approach.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced tradespeople.
• Positive attitude, reliability and strong work ethics.
• Commitment to workplace safety and working as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Complete a 4-year Electrical Apprenticeship in FMCG manufacturing.
• Gain hands-on experience in electrical maintenance, fault finding and repairs.
• Develop skills with PLCs, automation, motors and sensors.
• Learn from experienced tradespeople while completing trade qualifications.
• Graduate as a qualified Electrician with large-scale manufacturing exposure.
