Job summary

Ventia is seeking a Mechanical Fitter to join the team at the Millmerran Power Station in Queensland. The role focuses on hands-on maintenance and equipment replacements to ensure reliable plant operation, with a condensed 4-day roster (6am–5pm) and competitive hourly pay.

The successful candidate will have a Certificate III in Mechanical Fitting or equivalent, industry experience, White Card, and a valid Australian Driver's Licence, with favourable experience in coal/ash handling.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated industry experience in mechanical fitting and maintenance.
• White Card for construction site safety and compliance.
• Australian Driver's Licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on maintenance and equipment replacements to keep the Millmerran Power Station running smoothly.
• Support the 4 days on, 3 days off roster (6am–5pm) with safe, efficient work practices.
• Adhere to site safety standards and support continuous improvement in maintenance processes.

Ventia provides operational and preventative maintenance services to the Millmerran Power Station, which generates 870MW of electricity, powering over 1 million homes. We’re looking for skilled Mechanical Fitters to join the team and ensure the plant runs smoothly through hands-on maintenance and equipment replacements. About You

• Certificate III in Mechanical Fitting, Diesel Fitting or Equivalent
• Demonstrated industry experience
• White Card
• Australian Drivers Licence
• Engineering, Mechanical Maintenance, or Heavy Diesel background
• Previous experience in Coal and Ash handling or similar environment (highly desirable)
• Confined Spaces Training, Working at Heights Training, Elevated Work Platform (EWP) Ticket, High Risk Licence
