Job summary

AustCorp Executive in Sydney is seeking a hands-on, trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter to join a well-established manufacturing operation.

You will own equipment performance across your shift, carry out inspections, lubrication, machine adjustments and first‑line fault‑finding on automated production lines, working with a small team and escalating major repairs as needed while maintaining WHS and GMP standards.

Qualifications

• Trade-qualified mechanical fitter with hands-on maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventative and breakdown maintenance on production and packaging machinery.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and minimise equipment downtime.
• Perform mechanical repairs, component replacements and equipment adjustments.
• Maintain pumps, motors, gearboxes, bearings, conveyors and processing equipment.
• Carry out fabrication, welding and machining repairs as required.
• Assist with machinery installations, upgrades, modifications and commissioning.
• Identify recurring equipment issues and implement improvements to plant reliability.
• Complete scheduled maintenance activities and accurately record work in the CMMS.
• Work closely with production teams to support efficient line operation and minimise disruptions.
• Maintain compliance with workplace health and safety procedures, including LOTO, GMP and food safety requirements.

Salary: $57 per hour including Loading = $115K BASIC + Overtime

The Opportunity We are seeking a hands-on, trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter to join a well-established manufacturing operation in Sydney.

This role is ideal for a mechanically fitter who enjoys working directly with automated production equipment, troubleshooting faults and keeping machinery running efficiently.

You will take ownership of equipment performance throughout your shift, carrying out routine inspections, cleaning, lubrication, machine adjustments and first-line fault-finding.

You will work closely with a small production team, resolving issues as they arise and escalating major repairs to the maintenance department when required.
