Ideal candidates hold a Mechanical Engineering degree with 4+ years HVAC design experience, strong Revit skills, and the ability to work autonomously within a collaborative team in a local Newcastle environment.

About your new employer

Our client is a growing and well-established engineering consultancy delivering practical and value-engineered solutions across a diverse range of projects within the building services industry.

As part of their continued growth they have the opportunity to add an additional mechanical engineer in a permanent, full time position.

This role will be based our of their Newcastle office.

About your new role

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will work closely with clients, architects, builders and other engineering disciplines to develop practical and value-engineered HVAC solutions.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing and developing HVAC systems and components in line with project requirements and specifications.
• Creating HVAC schematics, layouts and detailed designs using Autodesk Revit.
• Collaborating with architects, builders and other engineers to ensure effective system integration.
• Preparing technical reports, specifications and project documentation.
• Providing technical support to construction teams during installation and commissioning.
• Identifying technical issues and developing solutions to improve system performance and reliability.
• Building strong client relationships and contributing to the delivery of value-engineered solutions.

About you

To be successful in this position, you will have:

• A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 4+ years experience in HVAC design and engineering.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, design principles and relevant industry standards.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and other relevant Autodesk products.
• Existing registered design practitioner status or an interest in progressing towards being registered is advantageous.
• The ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively to a collaborative team.
• Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
