Job summary

MineARC Systems is seeking a talented Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Perth engineering team. You will design, develop, test and continuously improve MineARC's safety and technology products used across mining, tunnelling and industrial sectors.

You will produce robust, manufacturable designs, work with cross-functional teams and deliver on time while ensuring safety and compliance. This role offers a pathway to tech-led innovation within a global manufacturing business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 5 years' experience as a Mechanical Engineer.
• Advanced proficiency with SolidWorks.
• Strong experience designing sheet metal, machined, fabricated, and plastic components.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and design-for-manufacture principles.
• Experience integrating mechanical systems with electrical/electronic components.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical designs from concept through to production.
• Produce accurate 3D models, assemblies and drawings using SolidWorks.
• Prepare BOMs, calculations, specifications and design documentation.
• Design fabricated, sheet-metal, machined, moulded and assembled components.
• Ensure designs are safe, compliant, manufacturable and serviceable.
• Take ownership of design deliverables and meet deadlines.
• Conduct design reviews, risk assessments and verification.
• Support prototype construction, testing and production introduction.
• Investigate design issues and product failures with cross-functional teams.
• Provide technical guidance and drawing reviews for junior engineers.
