Job summary

Goldsmith is seeking an experienced General Mechanic to join our maintenance team in Leongatha, Victoria. You will perform scheduled maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on a range of heavy vehicles and equipment, ensuring reliability and safety.

A strong attention to detail and a proactive approach are essential as you work both independently and with the team. We value reliability, punctuality and a positive, team-oriented attitude, and you will contribute to keeping our fleet in peak

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as a certified mechanic or equivalent industry experience.
• Current High Risk Work Licence - Forklift (desirable).
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe work practices.
• Positive, team-oriented attitude with ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Reliability, punctuality and proactive approach to tasks.

Responsibilities

• Performing scheduled maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on heavy vehicles and equipment.

About the Role

As a Mechanic, your initial responsibilities will include:

• Performing scheduled maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on a range of heavy vehicles and equipment.
• Identifying, assessing, and resolving mechanical issues to ensure equipment reliability and safety
• Following defined scopes of work and maintaining detailed records of service and repair activities.
• Promote Goldsmith values and culture within the team.

About you

To be considered for this role the successful applicant must have:

• A current Certified Mechanical Trade Qualification, or relevant industry experience
• A current High Risk Work Licence - Forklift (desirable, but not essential).
• A strong attention to detail and commitment to safe work practices.
• A positive, team-oriented attitude with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Reliability, punctuality, and a proactive approach to day-to-day tasks.
