Job summary

Goldsmith is seeking an experienced Mechanic/Fitter to join our maintenance team based in Wollert, Victoria. The role involves maintaining and repairing heavy vehicles and equipment to ensure reliability and safety, with a focus on detailed service records and adherence to defined scopes of work.

The successful candidate will hold a current Certified Mechanical Trade Qualification or relevant experience, with preferred forklift ticket and a proactive, team-oriented approach.

About the Role

As a Mechanic, your initial responsibilities will include:

• Performing scheduled maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on a range of heavy vehicles and equipment.

About you

To be considered for this role the successful applicant must have:

• A current Certified Mechanical Trade Qualification, or relevant industry experience
• A current High Risk Work Licence – Forklift (desirable, but not essential).
• A strong attention to detail and commitment to safe work practices.
• A positive, team-oriented attitude with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Reliability, punctuality, and a proactive approach to day-to-day tasks.
