Base salary $87,834 to $93,924 plus super

Council is seeking a suitably qualified applicant to fill the permanent full-time role of Mechanic.

Reporting directly to the Plant and Fleet Coordinator, you will support Broken Hill City Council in delivering valued services to the community. The role will conduct mechanical duties for light and heavy vehicles and plant to ensure Council's transport fleet, plant and associated equipment is maintained to a safe, efficient and serviceable condition.

We are looking for a trade-qualified and experienced Mechanic with current hands-on experience maintaining and repairing light and heavy vehicles and plant equipment. You should display strong administrative and computer skills along with well-developed communication abilities. The successful applicant will demonstrate strong organisational skills, the ability to prioritise tasks effectively, and a proactive approach to workplace responsibilities and service delivery.
