Drakes Supermarkets in Samford Valley is seeking a motivated and hands-on Meat Department Leader to join our Samford store. You will manage a small team, create rosters, place orders and conduct stock takes, ensuring freshness and profitability.

Reporting to the Store Manager, you will drive exceptional customer service, oversee costs, and contribute to merchandising and team development in a fast-paced supermarket environment.

About this opportunity:

Our Samford store is currently looking for a motivated and hard working leader, to join and lead the store's meat department.

Reporting directly to the Store Manager, this successful applicant will be responsible for managing a small team, creating rosters, generating orders, completing stock takes + much more!

Working as a part of an enthusiastic team, in a highly competitive supermarket environment, applicants will be expected to demonstrate:

• Possess an Australian trade qualification in Butchery (essential)
• Fresh food retail knowledge is desired
• Ability to lead and manage a team
• Ability to order and control costs
• An excellent understanding of gross profit calculations
• Accurateteam rostering
• Passion and enthusiasm, with a very "hands on" approach
