Job summary

Drake Supermarkets Pty Ltd in Rosewood, QLD is seeking a motivated individual to lead the meat department at our Rosewood store. You will manage a small team, oversee rosters, place orders, and conduct stock takes while maintaining top-quality products and customer service.

The role reports to the Store Manager and requires strong leadership, team coaching, and a hands-on approach to daily duties in a fast-paced supermarket environment.

Qualifications

• Australian trade qualification in Butchery (essential)
• Fresh food retail knowledge desirable
• Ability to lead and manage a team
• Ability to order and control costs
• Strong understanding of gross profit calculations
• Accurate rostering and scheduling

Responsibilities

• Lead the Rosewood meat department team and ensure high standards of product quality and presentation.
• Create rosters and manage scheduling for staff.
• Generate orders and monitor stock levels, perform stock takes.
• Report to Store Manager and contribute to store targets and customer service excellence.

About this opportunity:

Our Rosewood store is currently looking for a motivated and hard working applicant, to join and lead the store's meat department.

Reporting directly to the Store Manager, this successful applicant will be responsible for managing a small team, creating rosters, generating orders, completing stock takes + much more!

Working as a part of an enthusiastic team, in a highly competitive supermarket environment, applicants will be expected to demonstrate:
