Drakes Supermarkets' Samford store in Queensland is seeking a motivated leader to head the meat department. You will manage a small team, create rosters, place orders and perform stock takes to ensure fresh, quality product availability.

Reporting to Store Manager, you will drive excellent customer service, control costs, mentor staff and uphold health and safety standards in a fast-paced retail environment. Australian trade qualification in Butchery is essential.

Qualifications

• Leadership of a small team in a busy department.
• Experience in meat/produce retail recommended.
• Proven ability to manage rostering and ordering.

About this opportunity:

Our Samford store is currently looking for a motivated and hard working leader, to join and lead the store's meat department.

Reporting directly to the Store Manager, this successful applicant will be responsible for managing a small team, creating rosters, generating orders, completing stock takes + much more!

Working as a part of an enthusiastic team, in a highly competitive supermarket environment, applicants will be expected to demonstrate:

• Possess an Australian trade qualification in Butchery (essential)
• Fresh food retail knowledge is desired
• Ability to lead and manage a team
• Ability to order and control costs
• An excellent understanding of gross profit calculations
• Passion and enthusiasm, with a very \"hands on\" approach
