Job summary

Drakes Supermarkets is a family owned retailer in Australia seeking a dynamic leader for our Fresh Food department in Queensland. You will own the department, tailoring service and product offerings to local customers while driving performance and profitability.

In this hands-on role you will coach staff, manage rosters, oversee ordering and cost controls and maintain a high standard of customer service. A strong merchandising sense and leadership ability are essential.

Qualifications

• Significant fresh food retail knowledge.
• Experience in Fruit and Vegetable management is essential.
• Expertise in leading and managing team members.
• Ordering and cost control expertise.
• Understanding of gross profit calculations.
• Accurate staff rostering.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Excellent communication and liaison with staff and management.
• Merchandising flair and leadership delegation.

Responsibilities
