Drakes Supermarkets Pty Ltd, Rosewood store, seeks a motivated Meat Department Lead to head the team and drive quality fresh-food service. You will roster, place orders, and manage stock takes while maintaining gross profit and customer-first merchandising.

Reporting to Store Management, you will lead by example, coach staff, and ensure health and safety standards across daily operations, with emphasis on teamwork and exceptional customer experience.

Qualifications

• Must hold an Australian trade qualification in Butchery.
• Experience leading a small team in fresh foods or meat department.
• Demonstrated ability to roster, order and manage stock and costs.

About this opportunity:

Our Rosewood store is currently looking for a motivated and hard working applicant, to join and lead the store's meat department.

Reporting directly to the Store Manager, this successful applicant will be responsible for managing a small team, creating rosters, generating orders, completing stock takes + much more!

Working as a part of an enthusiastic team, in a highly competitive supermarket environment, applicants will be expected to demonstrate:

• Possess an Australian trade qualification in Butchery (essential)


• Fresh food retail knowledge is desired


• Ability to lead and manage a team


• Ability to order and control costs


• An excellent understanding of gross profit calculations
