Job summary

Oakey Beef Exports in Queensland seeks an experienced Laboratory Technician for our modern export abattoirs. You will work in a NATA accredited lab, joining a team focused on quality assurance and customer service, with on-plant sampling and lab testing.

Reporting to the Laboratory Manager, the role offers job security, varied duties, and opportunities to develop skills in meat microbiology and testing techniques in a progressive red meat industry.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of NATA standards and meat/meat by-products microbiology preferred.
• Willing to undertake additional training in lab techniques.
• Able to work a rotating roster (varied start times).
• Own reliable transport essential.
• Vaccination against Q-Fever or willingness to participate.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-plant sampling and laboratory testing.
• Perform tests and calibrations in a NATA-accredited lab.
• Contribute to quality assurance and customer service goals.
