Job summary

NH Foods Australia in Queensland is seeking an experienced laboratory technician for our modern export processing facilities, reporting to the Laboratory Manager. The role is based in a NATA-accredited laboratory and offers job security, challenge and variety.

The position involves on-plant sampling as well as testing and calibration within the Laboratory; shift rosters include 4am-midday, 6am-2pm and 8am-4pm with occasional Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of NATA standards and industry experience in microbiology analysis of meat and meat by-products will be favourably regarded.
• Willing to undertake further training in lab techniques relevant to the red meat industry.
• Able to work a rotating weekly roster 4am to Midday, 6am to 2pm and 8am to 4pm
• Availability to work some Saturdays if required

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-plant sampling as well as testing and calibration within the Laboratory.
• Operate in a NATA accredited laboratory with a hands-on technical role.
• Collaborate with Laboratory Manager and ensure quality assurance standards are met
