Job summary

Oakey Beef Exports is seeking an experienced Laboratory Technician for our modern export abattoirs located on the Darling Downs, near Toowoomba. You will work in a NATA-accredited laboratory with on-plant sampling, testing and calibration, combining hands-on technical work with quality assurance and customer service focus.

The role offers training and career progression in a progressive red meat/food industry leader.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of NATA standards in meat microbiology.
• Willing to undertake further training in lab techniques.
• Own reliable transport and ability to work a rotating roster including Saturdays.
• Be vaccinated against Q-Fever or willing to participate in the vaccination process.

Responsibilities

• Work in a NATA accredited laboratory with job security and variety.
• Conduct on-plant sampling as well as testing and calibration within the Laboratory.
• Hands-on technical role with a variety of tasks.
• Maintain strong focus on customer service, quality assurance, accuracy and attention to detail.
