Job summary

The Big Steel in New South Wales is seeking an experienced MC Driver to deliver steel products across the Eastern States on a casual/full-time basis. The role includes overnight stays 1-2 nights per week and strict load restraint duties.

You will operate a dedicated 2020 Kenworth T909 - 50'' Bunk from Wagga Wagga, manage time-sensitive deliveries, assist with unloading at customer sites, and complete paperwork promptly while maintaining safety and vehicle readiness.

Qualifications

• MC license required.
• Experience as an MC Driver preferred.
• Casual/full-time role available.

Responsibilities

• Liaising with customers regarding delivery details.
• Understanding load restraint as per National Load Restraint Guidelines.
• Completion of all paperwork on time and in full.
• Driving in a time-sensitive environment.
• Refueling and maintaining cleanliness of allocated equipment.
• Promptly report any mechanical faults, delivery issues or delays.

Job description

We are looking for a casual/full time, experienced MC Drivers to deliver our steel products across the Eastern States.

Some of these deliveries could include overnights. Generally, it would only be 1-2 nights away per week. We ask that applicants please consider this before applying.

The job will involve

• Arriving at our yard to a loaded and fueled truck and delivering to where ever it needs to go.
• Assisting our customer unload the steel products in a safe and respectful manner on their property.
• Returning to the yard in Wagga Wagga empty.
• The workload would be roughly 50 hours/week.
• The successful applicant would have a truck designated to them that only they would operate. The truck is a 2020 Kenworth T909 - 50'' Bunk.
• Loads would include Semi, B-double and Road-Train loads. (Flat-tops and Drop Deck trailers).
• Generally our product is delivered to farming operations.

Your responsibilities will include
