Job summary

Mesh & Bar in Thornton, NSW, is seeking a reliable MC Truck Driver to join our transport and logistics team. You will operate MC heavy vehicles, including B-doubles, and deliver reinforced steel products to construction sites.

This role requires a current MC licence, at least 2 years’ experience with heavy combination vehicles (B-doubles preferred) and a forklift licence. We offer stable Monday to Friday work, a competitive hourly rate, and a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted MC (Multi Combination) licence is essential.
• Minimum 2 years' experience driving heavy combination vehicles.
• B-double experience highly regarded.
• Strong understanding of load restraint requirements.
• Good safety record and understanding of Chain of Responsibility.
• Forklift licence (LF).
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company MC heavy vehicles, including B-doubles where required.
• Transport reinforcing steel products to construction sites and customer locations.
• Load, secure and unload reinforcing steel products in accordance with load restraint requirements.
• Complete daily vehicle pre-start inspections and report maintenance requirements.
• Ensure deliveries are completed safely, efficiently and within scheduled timeframes.
• Comply with Chain of Responsibility requirements and heavy vehicle regulations.
• Maintain a professional approach when dealing with customers and site personnel.
• Assist with general yard and transport duties when required.
