Job summary

Access Metal Recycling is an Australian family-owned metal recycling business with a network across NSW and the ACT. This role involves travelling throughout NSW and the ACT to collect and transport scrap metal in late-model trucks and trailers, with pride in maintaining equipment.

The successful candidate will hold an MC licence, have experience with road trains and tipping trailers, and be prepared for overnight stays and overtime work.

Qualifications

• Current MC licence required.
• Fatigue Management (or willingness to obtain).
• Experience driving manual Kenworth T909 or similar.
• Experience with Road Trains, A double and B double combos.
• Willingness to work away from home.
• Commitment to safety and compliance; good equipment care.

Responsibilities

• Travel across regional New South Wales and ACT with each day a new assignment.
• Interact with operators, mining, farming and industrial suppliers.
• Adhere to safety policies and maintain vehicle standards.

Job description

Access Metal Recycling is an Australian, family owned metal recycling business specialising in the collection and processing of scrap metal from our customer sites across NSW and the ACT.

We have a team of truck drivers that are supplied with their own prime mover, travelling throughout NSW to collect and transport scrap metal from our clients premises to various sites for further processing.

This role is ideally suited to a person who likes travelling throughout the state with each day being a new adventure. We have well maintained, late model trucks and trailers, ideal for the person who takes pride in their work and their machinery.

What You'll Bring

• Current MC licence;
• Fatigue Management (or willing to obtain);
• Experience driving manual Kenworth T909 trucks or similar;
• Experience operating Road Trains, A double and B double combinations;
• Experience with tipping trailers;
• The ability to work away from home;
• An excellent attitude and work ethic;
• A commitment to safety and compliance; and
• Pride in taking care of your equipment.

Full time position;

Above award wages plus allowances;

$96 tax-free overnight allowance for staying in the truck
