Job summary

JW Matthews Cartage Contractor Pty Ltd – Ballarat VIC is seeking experienced transport operators to join our 3rd generation family business. We are hiring MC (Bdouble/A double) drivers to cart grain, stockfeed, fertilisers and livestock locally and interstate.

The position is full time with harvest casuals accepted and an immediate start preferred. We operate modern Kenworth T659 prime movers and well-maintained trailers; we value professionalism and safety in a team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Current heavy vehicle licence (MC) required.
• Minimum 2 years experience driving MC vehicles.
• Willing to train the right applicant.
• Punctual, reliable and flexible with OH&S guidelines.
• Able to provide references and up-to-date VicRoads driving records.
• Able to observe company policies and work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Cart grain, stockfeed, fertilisers and livestock locally and interstate.
• Local harvest work.
• Operate safely and efficiently within delivery timelines.
• Maintain professional customer service and compliance with PBS where applicable.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures and observe OH&S standards.

J W Matthews Cartage Contractors are looking for transport operators for our 3rd generation family owned enterprise. We are a growing family business and we are currently looking for experienced operators to join our professional team.

We are looking for MC (Bdouble/ A double) drivers to join our team, carting grain, stockfeed, fertilizers and livestock locally and interstate And also local harvest work. The position will be full time but will also accept any casuals over the harvest period and immediate start is preferred.

We run a fleet of modern Kenworth T659 prime movers and very modern well maintained trailers.

THE CANDIDATE

Current heavy vehicle licence (MC)

Minimum 2 years experience driving MC vehicles (willing to train the right applicant)

Punctual, reliable and flexible whilst understanding the importance of time restraints within OH&S guidelines

Able to provide references and up to date VicRoads driving records at interview stage

Able to observe company policies and procedures and work independently and as part of the team

Dedicated to achieving high standards of safety compliance and customer service

a knowledge of the PBS scheme for A double would be a bonus but not mandatory

experience handling livestock would be great but not a necessity
