Job summary

CP Tuohey and Sons, a family-run freight company based in Colbinabbin, VIC, is seeking a MC Driver to operate grain and fertiliser loads across Victoria. You will perform daily vehicle checks, adhere to WHS guidelines, and maintain strong relationships with farm customers.

Refrigerated vehicle operation and safety focus are essential. Applicants must hold an MC License, have full Australian working rights, and demonstrate punctuality, reliability, and load restraint knowledge.

Qualifications

• MCLicense required (non-negotiable).
• Full Australian working rights.
• Knowledge of weight distribution, strapping and load restraints.
• Ability to conduct vehicle maintenance checks and report issues accurately.
• Maintain accurate logbooks and necessary documentation.
• Punctual, honest, and reliable with a safety-first mindset.
• Flexible and able to prioritise workload; high safety initiative.
• Forklift license is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Grain and fertiliser loads between Victoria/Riverina down to Melbourne and Geelong ports.
• Harvest work including grain cartage and season-based transport requirements.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and ensure vehicles/equipment are well maintained.
• Follow WHS procedures, Chain of Responsibility and company policies.
• Maintain professional relationships with farm customers and stakeholders.
• Operate refrigerated and fully maintained vehicles.

About the job:

Grain and Fertiliser loads running between Victoria/Riverina down to Melbourne and Geelong ports

Harvest work,including grain cartage and other season-based transport requirements

Completing daily vehicle checks and ensuring vehicles and equipment are maintained to a high standard

Following all WHS procedures, Chain of Responsibility obligations and company policies

Maintaining professional and courteous relationships with farm customers, clients and other stakeholders

Operating refrigerated and fully maintained vehicles

About you:

MCLicense is required (non-negotiable)

Full Australian working rights

Comprehensive knowledge of weight distribution, strapping and load restraints

Demonstrated ability to conduct vehicle maintenance checks, and reporting any issues accurately

Maintain accurate logbooks and necessary documentation, including delivery dockets and timesheets

Positive and professional attitude, including being extremely punctual, honest and reliable

Flexible and able to prioritise workload

A high safety initiative and safe driving history

Ability to perform some manual handling as required

Forklift License is an advantage
