Job summary

Sunshine Coast Council is seeking a Project Officer to support the Office of the Mayor, delivering operational, project and coordination support to drive strategic priorities for the region.

You will coordinate research, prepare briefings, and assist with communications and advocacy to benefit the Sunshine Coast community. The role is based at Maroochydore City Hall and offers a total remuneration package.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in business, administration, project management, communications or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to thrive in a complex, fast-paced support and coordination role.
• High-level written communication, report and briefing preparation.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level administrative, operational and project support to the Office of the Mayor.
• Coordinate research, reports, correspondence, briefings and presentations on strategic issues.
• Support mayoral communications, including speech writing, social media and advocacy activities.
• Manage stakeholder relationships across Council and the community.
