Job summary

Sunshine Coast Council in Maroochydore is seeking a Project Officer to provide operational, project and coordination support to the Office of the Mayor. This role offers diverse, fast-paced work and opportunities to contribute to key civic initiatives.

You will coordinate research, reports, briefings and presentations while supporting mayoral communications and stakeholder relationships across Council and the community.

Qualifications

• Qualified in business, administration, project management, or communications or equivalent experience.
• Proven ability to provide high-level administrative support in fast-paced environments.
• Strong written communication for reports, briefings and presentations.
• Ability to build trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level administrative, operational and project support to the Office of the Mayor.
• Coordinate research, reports, correspondence, briefings and presentations on strategic issues.
• Support mayoral communications, including speeches, social media and advocacy activities.
